[Watch] Sikandar Raza Gets Into Fight With Curtis Campher, Joshua Little In Harare

Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza indulged in a two-fold heated argument with Irish cricketers Curtis Campher and Joshua Little during his team's opening T20I of the three-match series on Thursday (December 7) in Harare.

Usually calm, Raza lost his cool after words thrown in from the opposition camp and gave the mouthful back to Ireland left-arm pacer Little and allrounder Campher. The incident is from the fag end of the Zimbabwean run-chase and it required an interruption from the standing umpire to make sure things didn't reach out of hand.

Things took an ugly turn in an otherwise well-spirited encounter on the cricket field when Little seems to have said something to Raza at the other end. As the pacer started going back to his mark, the Zimbabwean captain responded to him in equal measure.

Little's jeering was backed by close-in fielder Campher who continued the sledging from the Irish camp. Raza then seems to have gestured Campher to stay quiet since he was merely responding to the remarks thrown his way by Little.

Raza's Heated Altercation In Harare T20I

The altercation could've easily taken uglier proportions if not for the timely intervention by the umpires and the rest of the Irish players. It added to the tension and the intensity of the close-fought fixture which went down to the wire and Zimbabwe could only inch past the tourists on the final ball of the chase.

Raza was once again Zimbabwe's hero with a match-winning knock of 65 off 42 deliveries during a tricky run-chase where the hosts strived to overhaul Ireland's 147/8 in the historic first-ever D/N match played at the Harare Sports Club.

The hosts lost untimely wickets throughout the second half but were kept in the game by their valiant captain before he was also dismissed and the Irish could smell victory.

In the most thrilling end, however, No.11 Blessing Muzarabani inside-edged a yorker along the turf from Barry McCarthy, which wicketkeeper Lorcan Tucker failed to collect and the ball ricocheted towards the fine-leg region for the remaining two runs required off the last ball.
