On Wednesday, Pakistan will cross swords against New Zealand in the final T20 International of the ongoing five-match series. Led by Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan have had a disastrous series, losing three out of four matches.

Shaheen, Shadab Likely To Be Excluded For 5th T20I

According to Pakistan's leading media agency Geo Super, the Men in Green will likely make several changes to their playing XI for the final T20I at Sky Stadium in Wellington. The visitors could even exclude some non-performing players, including Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan.

The performances of Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan have been disappointing, to say the least. Shaheen has managed only two wickets in four matches at a poor average of 66.50 and a strike rate of 39. More importantly, he has conceded 133 runs at a horrible economy of 10.23.

On the other hand, Shadab has scored 30 runs at an average of 10 and a scalped a solitary wicket in four matches.

So, considering their abysmal returns, the visitors could exclude these two players, replacing them with fresh faces in the final T20I of the series.

Pakistan To Play For Their Pride In Wellington

After losing two consecutive matches, Pakistan secured an emphatic win, riding on Hasan Nawaz's scintillating ton in Auckland. However, another defeat in the fourth T20I led them to an embarrassing series defeat. So, they would be keen to conclude the T20I leg with a win before heading to the three-match ODI series.
