Experienced New Zealand opener Tim Seifert had a memorable outing in the second T20I against Pakistan, as he blazed his way through to a blistering 22-ball 45 at University Oval in Dunedin. Opening the batting for New Zealand, Seifert struck three fours and five sixes en route to an impactful knock.

Seifert Slams 4 Sixes Off Shaheen Afridi's Over

The New Zealand opener, who played six consecutive dot balls in the first over, took a particular liking for Shaheen Afridi when the fast bowler came to bowl his second over.

After dispatching the first two balls into the stands for humongous sixes, Seifert picked up a couple of runs in the fourth delivery.

He finished the over on a high note, sending Shaheen out of the park on successive deliveries. Thus, he smacked four sixes, helping New Zealand collect 26 runs off the third over.

Seifert Misses His 50, But New Zealand Claim Driving Seat

After the match officials reduced the rain-marred contest to 15-over per side, Pakistan put up a spirited batting effort, scoring 135 runs, thanks to valuable cameos from Afridi, Agha Salman and Shadab Khan.

However, riding on Seifert and Finn Allen's fireworks, New Zealand are in a commanding position. Although the hosts have lost three wickets, they are on the verge of another clinical win, needing 45 runs off 44 balls to go 2-0 up in the series.
