In the second T20I of the 3-game series against Australia, Pakistan batter Babar Azam was dismissed cheaply for 3 runs by Xavier Bartlett. This marks another setback in his prolonged lean patch and fans mercilessly trolled him on the internet with sarcastic memes.

Pakistan were up against Australia for the second T20I at SCG earlier today. Australia batted first and posted 147 runs on the board. Haris Rauf's 4-wicket-haul foiled the hosts' plan to build partnerships and as a result, they had to settle for a mediocre total.

However, Pakistan's start to the chase was horrendous. Babar Azam came out to open with captain Mohammad Rizwan for a change, and Babar was dismissed by Xavier Bartlett off just 3 runs off 3 balls. Xavier bowled a length delivery on Babar's pads, and the batter went to attack. However, the timing and connection was way off as Babar Azam found a man at deep square leg to literally gift his wicket away on an ordinary ball.

Babar Azam was earlier dropped from the Test team owing to form and fitness issues. While he made a comeback in the white-ball format, runs are not flowing from his bat as Pakistan expected it to. Moreover, with Champions Trophy 2025 on the horizon, Babar's horrible form is an alarming sign for the Pakistan cricket team.
