Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) is set to felicitate both Ravindra Jadeja and Cheteshwar Pujara for their immense contribution to Indian cricket ahead of the 3rd Test between India and England in Rajkot.

The SCA Stadium is all set to be renamed ahead of the 3rd Test. As reported earlier, BCCI secretary Jay Shah will unveil the stadium's new name on 14th February. It will be named after former first-class cricketer Niranjan Shah.

A small ceremony has been organised on the day and during that ceremony, both Indian cricketers Jadeja and Pujara will be felicitated for what they have done for their state as well as the nation.

SCA President Jaydev Shah said: “We will be felicitating both Pujara and Ravindra during the function for new name of the stadium.”

The BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the remaining three Test matches against England, and despite his efforts, Pujara has failed to make it back. However, he is only the 13th Indian to have played more than 100 Test matches, and he surely deserves all the appreciation.

As far as Jadeja is concerned, he is currently the number one Test all-rounder as per the ICC rankings. While he did miss the second Test, the left-arm spinner is back in the squad and could be available for the third Test, depending on his fitness levels.

The SCA has already invited senior BCCI executives as they look to unveil the new name of the stadium. Since both teams will be having their training session earlier that day, they have also been invited to the ceremony and could be present there.
