With the 5-match Test series between India and England nicely poised at 1-1, every Indian fan awaits the return of Virat Kohli who is currently on a break. Kohli was expected to return to action for the 3rd Test which is scheduled to start on 15th February but there is still no update from his end suggesting that he might not be available for the game in Rajkot.

The BCCI selectors are expected to announce the squad for the remaining Test matches in the near future. The selectors face a dilemma as they need to announce the squad as soon as possible but they haven't heard from their star batter Kohli yet.

The former Indian skipper is yet to get in touch with the BCCI. Having already missed the first two matches for the series, the board of selectors were waiting to hear from Kohli but he has yet to communicate his return date as confirmed by a BCCI official.

BCCI official said to Indian Express via InsideSport, “Virat will decide when he wants to make a comeback. He hasn’t informed us till now, but whenever he decides to play, he will be included in the team.”

The 35-year-old requested a break due to personal reasons just before the start of the series. The initial idea was that he would return in time for the 3rd Test but unfortunately, that looks unlikely given the current circumstances.

But, the BCCI official did add that Kohli can decide when he wants to return. He might not have provided any information yet but he has the luxury to decide when he wants to come back and he will be included in the team whenever he decides to play.
