In a significant development ahead of IPL 2026, Sanju Samson remains unfazed by the trade rumours, and the 30-year-old is set to continue with Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming season.

Samson To Stay With RR

Gaurav Gupta from The Times of India took to Twitter to share the development, adding that the RR captain is not interested in a move to the Chennai Super Kings or Kolkata Knight Riders.

"RR have decided not to trade Samson or any of their players for now. Samson is very much a part of the Royals' set-up and the undisputed captain of the team," a source remarked in conversation with Mumbai Mirror.

Suryavanshi's Introduction Starts Rumour Mill

The rumour mill started on July 1, when there were reports that Samson is all set to be part of the trade and will move to Chennai Super Kings or Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming season, as things are not well between Samson and RR.

Notably, Rajasthan had a disastrous season in IPL 2025 as the Royals finished ninth on the table. Notably, Samson missed most of the action because of injury and only amassed 285 runs in nine matches.

Further, the introduction of Vaibhav Suryavanshi also might have triggered the move as the southpaw replaced Samson at the top and did great, where he took the league by storm and became the youngest to score a century in the cash-studded league.

Samson Refuses To Comment On CSK Move

Talking about Samson, the Royals' captain recently denied moving to Chennai Super Kings. According to Zee News, Sanju Samson was asked about the rumours of him moving to Chennai Super Kings from Rajasthan Royals. In reply, Sanju said in Malayalam, "Onnum parayanilla", which translates in English as "I have nothing to say".
