In the thrilling aftermath of India’s nail-biting T20 World Cup victory, a lively exchange between star players Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel has taken social media by storm.

Both instrumental in securing the title, Pant and Patel couldn't resist engaging in some playful banter, much to the delight of their fans.

Axar, Siraj poke fun at Pant's Instagram post

Rishabh Pant, making a sensational return to international cricket, shone brightly both behind the stumps and with the bat as he made some crucial contributions in the tournament.

Overflowing with pride, Pant posted a picture on Wednesday, proudly displaying his winner’s medal with the caption: “This medal hits you differently.”

Axar Patel, whose crucial knock of 47 off 31 balls and key wicket of Tristan Stubbs were vital in India’s seven-run win, saw the post and couldn't resist a cheeky reply. “Bhai, same mere pass bhi hai (Brother, even I have the same one with me),” he commented, sparking a wave of laughter.

Not one to miss out on the fun, Mohammed Siraj chimed in with, “Bhai, mere paas bhi h same (Brother, I have the same one too)”.

This light-hearted banter highlighted the incredible team spirit that has been the backbone of this victorious Indian squad.

Meanwhile, the team’s return to India was delayed due to Hurricane Beryl, which led to the shutdown of Barbados airport on July 1st.

Initially scheduled to arrive in Delhi on Wednesday evening, the Indian team’s plans were disrupted by the storm. However, they are now expected to land in the capital at 6 am on Thursday, July 4th.

The grand homecoming will see the champions greeted by fans and dignitaries alike, with a special meeting with the Prime Minister on the agenda.
