Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, one of the most celebrated captains in India, is gearing up for the T20 World Cup 2024 set to commence on June 2 in the West Indies and United States Of America.

While most of Team India has arrived in New York for their warm-up game against Bangladesh, notable absentees include Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya and star batter Virat Kohli. 

In a recent interview with Star Sports, Rohit Sharma shared his thoughts on leadership and team dynamics.

"It's important to give importance to every player in the team; they should feel they are a part of this team," Sharma emphasized, hinting at the need for cohesion and unity within the squad.

Sharma's words come at a time when there have been some problems in the Mumbai Indians team during the IPL 2024. There were reports of disagreements among players, especially after Hardik Pandya became the captain and Rohit Sharma's position was changed.

Team India will aim for a strong start against Ireland in their inaugural match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on June 5.
