Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, is currently leading the Indian cricket team in their ongoing five-match Test series against the visiting Englishmen.

In the series opener at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the hosts slumped to a 28-run defeat despite having gained a 190-run advantage at the halfway stage of the game.

Sharma and co. bounced back at Vizag with a 106-run victory to bring the series to levelling terms. The cricketer himself has managed to score 90 runs from four innings so far in the series at a substandard average of 22.50.

Rohit Sharma will now lead Team India in the third Test at Rajkot’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The match is slated to be staged between February 15 and February 19.
