Indian ODI captain Rohit Sharma gave India’s next generation of cricketers a day to remember when he interacted with the Under-19 boys at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru on Saturday.
This interaction comes as Rohit begins training for India’s upcoming ODI series against Australia, starting October 19.
Having retired from both Test and T20I formats earlier this year, Rohit is now focused entirely on ODI cricket, where he has already cemented his place among the game’s all-time greats.

Rohit Passes Fitness Test At BCCI Centre
Indian captain Rohit Sharma reportedly cleared the BCCI fitness tests at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, sending a strong signal about his readiness for international cricket.
Alongside him, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Washington Sundar, and Shardul Thakur also passed the Yo-Yo endurance test and DXA scan.
While Rohit won’t join India for the Asia Cup 2025 T20s in the UAE, his focus is now on the upcoming ODI series against Australia in October.
