Rohit Sharma wreaked havoc in St Lucia with his 92 off 41 against Australia in their final Super Eight match of Group 1 in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024. During the knock, he also became the highest run-scorer in T20I cricket, moving from number 3 to number 1.

Batting first against Australia in the Daren Sammy Stadium on Monday, June 24, the Indian skipper grabbed the game with the scruff of the neck as he went hammer and tongs in a must-win game for Australia. He reached his fifty in just 19 balls while also taking on Mitchell Starc in the 3rd over and scoring 29 runs off it.

With these 92 runs, Rohit goes past his opening partner, Virat Kohli's 4103, and Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam's 4145 runs to find himself with 4165 runs at the top of the highest run-getters chart in the shortest format.
