The Combermere School of Barbados has produced numerous talented personalities over the years and two such talents from the famous school are West Indian Test skipper, Kraigg Brathwaite and Robyn Fenty, who is famously known as Rihanna.

Kraigg Brathwaite was a lanky kid and went to the famous Barbadian school like some other cricketers, Carlos Brathwaite, Chris Jordan, Roston Chase, etc. Rihanna, the world-famous pop star was one of Kraigg's seniors who shared a great bond with the lanky kid.

When Kraigg Brathwaite Faced Bullies

As a kid, Kraigg often faced bullies in school and on the school bus for his body and the personality that he had.

However, in a big revelation, it was once found out that the pop star who was 4 years older than the current West Indian cricketers was the one who protected him from being bullied at the school.

Rihanna would often beat up the bullies who troubled Kraigg and took him on her lap to make him feel safe and sound.

They maintained good relations well beyond this phase in the school. When Kraigg was named as West Indies captain for the 2012 U19 World Cup, Rihanna invited him and the whole squad to her special concert in the USA while also providing them with VIP treatment.

Meanwhile, the world-famous singer was classmates with the West Indies legend Carlos Brathwaite, who finished off the 2016 T20 World Cup final with four successive sixes off Ben Stokes.

The duo went on to become stars in their respective fields as Brathwaite represented the WI in 89 Tests and 10 ODIs, while Rihanna made her name in the music industry, becoming the best-selling female recording artist of the 21st century by Guinness World Records and one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, with sales of estimated at 250 million units worldwide.
