During the high-voltage T20 World Cup clash between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, in-form Afghan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz survived runout scare twice in a single delivery, thanks to the comedy of errors from the Tigers.

The incident occurred during the 16th over of Afghanistan's innings when they were trying to accelerate, having just breached the 80-run mark. Bowling the third over of his spell, Mustafizur Rahman had a great start, conceding only three runs off his first three balls.

Coming from over the wicket, Rahman bowled a back-of-the-length off-cutter, as Gurbaz tried to carve it through the off-side field. However, his well-timed cut shot found Rishad Hossain, who immediately picked the ball up and went for the throw.

Unfortunately for Bangladesh, Rishad threw it in the wrong direction, while both Afghan batters were found at the striker's end.

The ball didn't hit the stumps, resulting in an overthrow. The Afghan batters capitalised on the opportunity, returning to their respective ends inspite of another minor hiccup.

Meanwhile, riding on Rashid Khan's late blitz, Afghanistan posted a slightly under-par 115-run total on the board. Considering the track's conduciveness for the bowlers, it could be a fighting score if the Afghan bowlers hit the right areas.
