Abhishek Pathak slams a massive ton as his team, Jabalpur Lions faced Bhopal Leopards in the final of the Madhya Pradesh League on Sunday, June 23 in Gwalior.

Away from the ongoing T20 World Cup in Gwalior, the opener, Abhishek Pathak, after being put in to bat first by Bhopal Leopards took the bowlers to the cleaners as he scored an unbeaten 142 runs off just 62 balls at a strike rate of 229.03, taking his team to 249/4 in 20 overs.

His knock included 11 mammoth sixes and 12 fours as he carried the bat. He added 84 runs with his opening partner Arpit Gaud in the powerplay followed by a 119-run stand with Aryan Deshmukh for the fifth wicket, taking charge of the partnership.

Jabalpur Lions ended up winning the final by 33 runs after bowling out Bhopal Leopards for 216 and Pathak was named Player of The Match for his knock. 

He finished the season as the highest run getter with 269 runs to his name in 5 matches at an average of 89.67 and a strike rate of 210.16 and attracted some attention ahead of the upcoming mega auction of the Indian Premier League.
