India have avenged 2023 ODI World Cup final loss against Australia. Indian captain Rohit Sharma led the charge, taking revenge in spectacular fashion in T20 World Cup Super 8 round.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Rohit Sharma demolished the Australian bowlers, scoring a blistering 92 off just 41 balls. India set a huge total of 205-5 in 20 overs. In response, Australia managed to reach only 181-7, resulting in a 24-run victory for India.

It was all about Rohit Sharma tonight. Even after Kohli was dismissed for a duck, Rohit did not hold back. He continued to attack the Australian bowlers fearlessly and dominated the game. Not even the rain interruption could halt his momentum.

When Head and Marsh were thriving, Rohit expertly managed his bowlers, leveraging the conditions to India's advantage.

Rohit Sharma's words after the win reflected his immense satisfaction and happiness with the great victory.

"Satisfying. We know the opposition and the threat they bring. As a team we did well, kept doing the things we needed to do. Gives us good confidence as a team. 200 is a good score but when you are playing here with wind being a big factor, anything can happen. But I think we used to conditions really well, and it was about individuals doing their job. If was about getting wickets at the right time. (On Kuldeep) We know the strength he has, but we need to use him when necessary" - Rohit Sharma said after the win against Australia.

In the semi-finals in Guyana, India will face England. This encounter brings back memories of the 2022 semi-finals, where India was defeated by Jos Buttler's team by 10 wickets.
