Tragic news has emerged from the West Indies, where the Indian team is playing in the T20 World Cup. Former Indian swing bowler and current commentator Irfan Pathan has suffered a personal loss.
Fayaz Ansari, Irfan Pathan's personal make-up artist, has tragically drowned in a swimming pool in the West Indies.
Fayaz Ansari, originally from Nagina in Bijnor, has been Irfan Pathan's make-up artist since the early days of Irfan's cricket career.
Fayaz, who ran a salon in Mumbai then, was hired by Irfan to be his personal make-up artist. Irfan has consistently taken Fayaz with him on all his international trips.
According to Mohammad Ahmed, Ansari’s cousin, the news of the drowning has left the family inconsolable. Ansari had married just two months ago and had recently moved to Mumbai from Nagina, Bijnor to start his own salon.
Currently, Irfan Pathan is part of the commentary team in the West Indies, and Fayaz had accompanied him there.
The tragic event took place on Friday, June 21, when Ansari drowned while swimming in a pool. According to Ansari’s cousin, Fayaz had just gotten married two months ago. His passing has deeply shocked and grieved his family.
Irfan Pathan is currently handling all the arrangements to ensure Ansari's body is returned to India for his last rites. However, it is said that it will take at least three to four days for Fayaz's body to reach India.
