Rishabh Pant's performance in the ongoing Delhi Premier League 2024 for Purani Dilli 6 highlighted his continued efforts in domestic cricket as he aims to get back to his best after a gruesome car accident.

He scored 35 runs off 32 deliveries, Pant showed glimpses of his aggressive style but couldn't quite convert it into a more dominant innings, as indicated by his modest strike rate of 109.

Shivam Sharma On Rishabh Pant's Growth And Development

In a recent post, Shivam Sharma took to X (formerly Twitter) on Rishabh Pant's growth and mentioned the wicketkeeper-batter's evolution from his early days in Delhi's U23 squad to becoming a leader in his own right.

“Rishabh played Under-23 for Delhi under my captaincy & yesterday I played under his captaincy in DPL. It gives me pleasure to see his growth as a cricketer & I thank God for keeping him safe, fit and healthy,” Shivam posted.

The fact that Pant, who once played under Shivam's captaincy, is now leading a team in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) shows his progression and the respect he commands among his peers.

Rishabh Pant Tries His Hand At Spin Bowling

Rishabh Pant's unexpected move to bowl in a match between Purani Dilli 6 and South Delhi Superstarz on Saturday left fans surprised, especially since he has never bowled in international cricket before.

In the final over, with just one run needed by the Superstarz to win, Pant decided to try his hand at bowling. Unsurprisingly, he conceded the required run, leading to his team’s loss.

This humorous incident has sparked some playful speculation among fans, who linked it to Gautam Gambhir's recent appointment as India’s head coach.

Since Gambhir took charge, several top Indian players like Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma have also taken up bowling duties.
