India batter Rinku Singh marked his first anniversary in international cricket on Sunday, August 18, 2024. He made his T20I debut for India against Ireland during the team's overseas tour last year and has since become a reliable performer for the national team in the shortest format.

Although Rinku did not get the opportunity to play in the T20 World Cup 2024, he has consistently impressed with his batting whenever called upon.

Rinku Singh's Emotional Message As He Completes 1 Year In International Cricket

To commemorate this milestone, Rinku Singh shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram channel and expressed gratitude for the incredible journey so far and his pride in representing India.

"One year since the dream that turned into reality. Grateful for every moment in blue. Jai Hind," Rinku posted on Instagram.

Rinku Singh's journey is a remarkable tale of perseverance and dedication. His cricketing career began in Uttar Pradesh, where he represented the state at various levels. His consistent performances in domestic cricket paved the way for his List A debut in March 2014, followed by his first-class debut in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy.

In Indian Premier League (IPL) he was initially selected by Kings XI Punjab in 2017 and later by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2018.

The 2023 IPL season was a turning point for Rinku Singh. He became KKR's leading run-scorer, as he made 474 runs in 14 matches at an impressive average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52.

This consistent performance earned him a call-up to the Indian national team. Rinku made his T20I debut against Ireland on August 18, 2023, and continued to impress in subsequent matches.

His international career gained further momentum during India's tour of South Africa in November 2023. He scored his first T20I half-century on December 12, 2023, with an unbeaten 68*. His ODI debut followed on December 19, 2023, where he contributed with both bat and ball.
