Shreyanka Patil, the Indian and RCB all-rounder, is all set to play for defending champions Barbados Royals in the Women's Caribbean Premier League 2025. The cricketer from Karnataka has been battling injuries in the last year or so and missed the last WCPL season due to injury.

In the 2023 season, though, she played a big part in Guyana Amazon Warriors' campaign to the final with nine wickets in five matches. Interestingly, Shreyanka Patil's best performance in WCPL has come against Barbados Royals when she picked four wickets, something which her new team would like to do against other opponents.

Shreyanka Patil To Play Alongside Hayley Matthews And Chamari Athapaththu

Shreyanka Patil is among the four overseas players in the Barbados Royals' squad for the 2025 season. Chamari Athapaththu, the other high-profile overseas star, will continue to open with Hayley Matthews, while the likes of Georgia Redmayne and Courtney Webb will add more firepower to the batting line-up.

The bowling unit has a similar look to the last season, with the likes of Aaliyah Alleyne, Afy Fletcher and Chinelle Henry retained by the franchise. They would hope that the addition of Shreyanka Patil in place of Amanda-Jade Wellington proves fruitful and that they go onto defend the title this season.

Shreyanka Patil Set For A Comeback After Long Injury Gap

The Indian offie played a big role in RCB Women's title win in 2024 and has been impressive whenever she has represented India. She missed lot of cricket since that win for India and RCB as well, and would be hoping to make an impact after a long injury layoff in WCPL.

Along with Shreyanka Patil, Shikha Pandey and Salonee Dangore are the two Indians who will feature in the 2025 edition of the Women's Caribbean Premier League. Both of them will play for Trinbago Knight Riders, who will kickstart the tournament on September 6.
