KL Rahul may be known for his calm presence and silky cover drives but when he raised his bat after reaching a brilliant century on Day 4 of the Headingley Test, there was a quiet storm of pride brewing off the field and it came straight from home. Actress and Rahul’s wife Athiya Shetty took to Instagram with a heartfelt message that had fans swooning:

“This one is special,”  wrote Athiya with a red heart on the photo of KL Rahul celebrating his ton.

The words were simple, but the moment was pure gold. With Rahul standing tall, bat raised, helmet in hand and a packed crowd in the background, Athiya’s post showed how invested she is in Rahul’s game.

Rahul-Pant Show Lights Up Headingley

Meanwhile, this wasn’t just another century by Rahul. With India looking to pile on a massive lead against England in the 1st Test at Leeds, Rahul has delivered under pressure and has scored an unbeaten 111 off 216 balls at the time of writing this article.

While KL Rahul was the picture of patience and poise, Rishabh Pant provided the fireworks with his incredible hitting. The duo put on a 150-run partnership for the 4th wicket with Pant batting on 98*.

The pair have already pushed India’s lead to 267 runs with England gasping for breakthroughs. India will look to up the ante and increase their lead quickly to give their bowlers more time to bowl England out.
