Royal Challengers Bengaluru are one of the most followed IPL teams in the history of the cash-studded league. They enjoy a massive following and have 23 million followers.
Recently, in order to expand their following, the three-time finalists launched a new social media account for Hindi viewers. However, the move has not gone well with the fans. RCB are facing massive backlash from the RCB fans as the Pro-Kannada faction is unhappy with the promotion of Hindi in the state.
Pro Kannada Organisations Demand Hindi Account To Be Shut
RCB have posted just five posts on that channel, using AI to translate statements and videos from players like Liam Livingstone and other overseas stars in Hindi to connect more with the non-Kannada belt.
The city of Bengaluru is experiencing a rise in the drive of Pro-Kannada organisations asking the residents to not speak Hindi and only communicate in their native language. Several cases and videos have also emerged online of discrimination among Hindi-speaking viewers in Bengaluru.
While these organisations are protesting against RCB's Hindi social media account, there is also a section that has appreciated the move as it will increase the love and support for RCB for the coming seasons.
Talking about the upcoming season, the Challengers did a decent job at the recently concluded auction where they bought great talents for each department.
