In a significant development, England's T20I superstar Liam Livingstone has been sold to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the ongoing IPL 2025 mega auction. The swashbuckling all-rounder was one of the marquee players and went under the hammer on the first day of the bidding process. 

Liam Livingstone is one of the most impactful all-rounders going around in modern-day white-ball game. Besides playing quick-fire knocks in the middle-order, the English cricketer can chip in with a few overs of wily spin bowling in the middle overs. RCB Defeat CSK In A Bidding War To Get Liam Livingstone

As soon as Liam Livingstone's name popped up on the screen, Royal Challengers Bengaluru began the proceedings with an opening bid of 2 Crores. Delhi Capitals battled it out against RCB after SRH backed out. 

CSK got themselves involved in a bidding war with RCB to bag the English all-rounder. However, RCB emerged as the ultimate winner, securing the all-rounder's services for 8.75 Crores. 

Liam Livingstone's IPL Career And Stats

Regarded as one of the fiercest strikers of the cricket ball, Liam Livingstone made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in the 2019 season. However, he became a household name only after shifting his base to Punjab Kings, playing a significant role for the franchise. In 39 innings, Livingstone has struck 939 runs, with 827 of those coming for the Kings. Furthermore, his strike rate of 162.46 speaks volumes for his hard-hitting ability, which he will showcase for RCB in the IPL 2025.
