On Tuesday, July 16, India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took to Instagram to pay tribute to his late mother. The 35-year-old, who recently won the T20 World Cup with India, dedicated the trophy to his mother who passed away in 2005 when he was just 17 years old.

"Whatever I am doing on the field. It is a tribute to you," wrote Jadeja in the special post.

It was a special post as Jadeja posted a hand-made sketch of him holding the T20 World Cup trophy alongside his mother.

Talking about Jadeja, he had a decent outing in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. Following the World Cup triumph, the 35-year-old also announced his retirement from T20I cricket to let the young kids take forward.

However, the southpaw is available for selection in ODIs and Test cricket. Further, the fans are awaiting whether he will be a part of the upcoming Sri Lanka series which will also mark Gautam Gambhir's first assignment as India coach.

There were reports that BCCI might rest Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. Still, the latest media articles suggest that Gambhir is keen on having these veterans for the Sri Lanka series citing that they have already got 6 week break.
