As India steps into the upcoming Sri Lanka assignment under the guidance of new head coach Gautam Gambhir, a new report has emerged suggesting that he is keen to include Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja for the ODIs against Sri Lanka starting on August 2.

Kohli, Bumrah, Rohit, Jadeja To Return?

The report states that since Team India took a well-deserved six-week break after the T20 World Cup victory on June 29, these players will get an adequate chance to rest and rejuvenate before the ODI series, ensuring their peak fitness for the upcoming matches.

The same report also stated that Hardik Pandya, who is likely to lead the Men In Blue in the T20Is, will miss the three-match ODI series due to personal reasons.

Earlier, it was believed that KL Rahul would be stepping into the captaincy shoes for the ODI leg of the series. However, if Rohit is included in the team, he will unquestionably lead the Indian side.

With Gambhir in charge, it would be interesting to see how things unfold when India announces their squad for the SL series.
