The Proteas are playing a great brand of cricket in this World Cup 2023, and Quinton De Kock seems to be on a mission to help them take the trophy home. Out of six games, they have won five and are cruising towards the sixth win of the tournament. De Kock is the highest-run-getter in this edition so far.

In today's game, Quinny smashed his fourth century of the World Cup 2023 and broke a few records as well. He took some time before he started smashing the Kiwi bowlers and went on to score 114 runs off just 116 deliveries. With this knock, he went on to break the record for most sixes by a wicket-keeper in the history of the ODI World Cup.

The southpaw has become the highest scorer of the tournament so far. He has hammered 545 runs in just seven innings with four centuries. Before coming into this World Cup, De Kock declared that after the tournament he would retire from ODI cricket. So he is enjoying his last bits in the 50-over format and giving his all in this tournament.

Quinton De Kock broke the record of Kumara Sangakkara

Kumara Sangakkara, who was the premium wicket-keeper batter of the Sri Lankan team, had smashed a total of 19 sixes during his career in the World Cup matches. However, with three sixes in today's innings, De Kock has smashed a total of 22 sixes in the World Cup games.

With De Kock at the top, Rassie and Markram in the middle, and Klaasen and Miller to finish, the Proteas have the finest batting line-up in this tournament which is the reason why they are able to post mammoth totals.
