The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the pick order of the player draft of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 season. Marking the 10th edition of the tournament, its player’s draft will take place on January 11 in Balochistan.

As per the official release, the Lahore Qalandars franchise will be making the first pick of players from the platinum category, followed by Karachi Kings. Among all six teams, defending champions Islamabad United will make the final pick.

PCB unveil pick order of PSL 2025 player draft

For the Platinum 1 category of players, Lahore Qalandars will be making the first pick followed by Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans and defending champions Islamabad United will make the final three picks respectively in that order.

The Platinum 2 category will follow the reverse sequence, with Islamabad United making the first pick followed by its competitors.

All six participating franchises of the PSL 2025 season will get to pick three players each from platinum, diamond and gold categories. Here is a look at a detailed sequence of player picks for the impending drafts as unveiled by the PCB.


The player draft of the PSL 2025 season itself will be conducted on January 11 next month at Gwadar in Balochistan.

The much-awaited season is scheduled to be played from April 10 to May 25. Unlike earlier editions of the tournament, the PSL 2025 season will be clashing with BCCI’s blockbuster IPL event owing to Pakistan’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 hosting obligation in February and March.

The Islamabad United team, led by charismatic Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan, won the 2024 edition earlier this year by defeating Multan Sultans in the final.
