On Monday, October 21, New Zealand cricket were involved in a major controversy as they shared an incorrect India map on their social media handle, which left the Indian fans angry. 

Notably, New Zealand opted for a creative way to inform their fans about Kiwis' travel to Pune for the 2nd Test and put out an India map to share about the journey on their twitter handle.

The fans were upset over the inaccurate depiction of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh region. The fans took to social media platforms to blast the blackcaps over their blunder. Here are some of the reactions. 



It is worth noting that the post has now been taken down by New Zealand cricket after heavy criticism from the Indian fans. Nonetheless, India will face New Zealand on October 24 for the 2nd Test in Pune. 

Special 48 Hours For New Zealand

It has been a special 48 hours for New Zealand as, firstly, they beat India in a Test match on Indian soil after 36 years. It was a historic game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium as India were the clear favourite to win the match, but New Zealand stunned the hosts. 

Before the start of the India tour, New Zealand were low on confidence as they lost to Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka 0-2 after they failed to read the spin. 

It was not all as New Zealand women too stole the limelight after they beat South African women in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 final on October 20 to lift the prestigious T20 tournament for the first time in history.

It is worth noting that before the start of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024, New Zealand women had lost ten straight games, but stunned the world by lifting the tournament.
