The Bharat Army members will be wearing customised pink Indian team jerseys on Day 3, i.e., on Saturday, August 2, against England at The Oval. In their social media update, the fan group has also urged fellow Indian cricket fans to wear the jersey by buying the merchandise from the venue. As per the update, the Indian team pink merchandise will be available for buying in Block 7 of The Oval stadium.
The Bharat Army decided to turn The Oval pink on August 2 a few days ago itself, to stand in solidarity with people getting affected by Lymphoma.
On the cricketing front, the Bharat Army also had much to rejoice after Team India’s spirited fightback against England on Day 2.
With England reaching a commanding 129-1 at one stage while in pursuit of India’s 224-run first innings total, the Indian bowlers struck back with a sequence of huge wickets as the hosts slipped to 242-8 by the time of a rain delay around Tea break.
