The 2025 cricket season got an extra dose of fun and excitement as Pokemon joined forces with the Gujarat Titans, one of the most popular IPL teams. This unique collaboration brought Pikachu, the popular Pokemon icon, directly to the training grounds, stadiums, and even to the smallest fans in all of Gujarat.

As part of the tie-up, Pokemon partnered with the Junior Titans program, a special grassroots initiative by the Gujarat Titans to promote fitness and sports among kids below the age of 14 years.

Conducted in Gujarat's five cities, the program had surprise delights, such as a special appearance of Pikachu at the Ahmedabad center.

Pikachu led a warm-up session with children using a popular Japanese exercise routine called Radio Taiso, bringing huge smiles to everyone’s faces.

Interestingly, during the IPL 2025 season, a Pokemon-themed booth was set up at the Narendra Modi Stadium for all seven of the Gujarat Titans’ home matches. Over 42,000 fans visited the booth, which was filled with colourful Pokémon artwork.

On most match days, fans got to meet Pikachu dressed in a Gujarat Titans jersey, and many took photos and received free Pikachu stickers as souvenirs. Some lucky kids from the Junior Titans program were also invited to meet Pikachu at the stadium.

GT Had A Promising Run In IPL 2025

Gujarat Titans had a good IPL 2025 campaign with young captain Shubman Gill, ending 4th and entering the playoffs. The standout performer was Sai Sudharsan, who scored 759 runs in 15 matches.

Even though GT batted well, their bowling suffered towards the end, allowing more than 225 runs in three games on the trot. In the Eliminator, they lost to the Mumbai Indians by 20 runs after dropping key catches and failing to chase 229.
