Sai Sudharsan is the definition of Mr consistent in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season as the Gujarat Titans batter has been a revelation for his team this year. In almost every single game, Sudharsan has delivered the goods and this consistency helped him enter an elite IPL list.

Sudharsan joins Kohli, Gill in special list

In the Eliminator clash against Mumbai Indians, Sudharsan caressed a wonder cover-drive against Richard Gleeson and with that, the GT opener completed 700 runs in the ongoing IPL season and became only the third Indian to achieve this feat.

Virat Kohli, the RCB batter achieved this feat twice (2016, 2024), while his opening partner, Shubman Gill reached the landmark during the 2023 season when GT reached the finale. This is the first time the GT opener bagged this record and he now sits alongside some of the best Indian IPL players.

Kohli in the 2016 season slammed 973 runs, the most by a batter in a single season. In the 2024 season, the RCB opener smacked 741 runs as his team reached the Eliminator. Gill, on the other hand had a stellar 2023 campaign as GT reached the finale.

The GT captain accumulated 890 runs but despite his efforts his team failed to win the title.

Sai Sudharsan's IPL 2025 journey

This season has been a revelation for the GT opener as he leads the run-scoring charts. So far, in 15 matches, Sudharsan has jotted down 722 runs, which includes 5 fifties and a solitary hundred. He now has his task cut out as GT aim to chase down a tricky 229 to reach the Qualifier 2.
