Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president, Mohsin Naqvi, following Pakistan's recent lackluster performances, has decided to invite 25 former international cricketers to discuss and decide the domestic structure of Pakistan cricket on Monday, July 8.

PCB and Pakistan cricket have been under a lot of scrutiny in recent weeks, following the debacle of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup under Babar Azam where they crashed out of the group stages after losing to the USA and India.

PCB, former players to meet for Pakistan's future

Among the critics have been some former Pakistan cricketers who have contributed comprehensively to their cricket.

A lot of criticism has been around the declining quality of the domestic structure of Pakistan and after all the criticism directed toward the board, president, Mohsin Naqvi has invited 25 former Pakistan internationals to find solutions to improve the structure which is being bashed.

The main agenda of the meeting on Monday is to reduce the quality gap between Pakistan's domestic cricket and international cricket. The contracts of 360 domestic players and a blueprint that has been suggested by a former cricketer will also be studied.

Under Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan had switched to just 6 domestic teams. However, last year, president Zaka Sharif had reverted to the old structure by adding departmental teams back to the circuit.
