How Much Will Each Indian Player Get From Rs 125 Crore T20 World Cup 2024 Prize?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has rewarded the Indian team that triumphed in the T20 World Cup 2024 with a substantial prize money of Rs 125 crore.

Each of the 15 players in the squad, including those who did not play, will receive Rs 5 crore. The head coach, Rahul Dravid, will also get Rs 5 crore.

Prize Money Breakdown for Players and Staff

In addition to the players, the core coaching group will be rewarded handsomely. Batting coach Vikram Rathour, fielding coach T Dilip, and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey will each receive Rs 2.5 crore.

The support staff, including three physiotherapists (Kamlesh Jain, Yogesh Parmar, and Thulasi Ram Yuvraj), three throwdown specialists (Raghavindraa Dvgi, Nuwan Udeneke, and Dayanand Garani), two masseurs (Rajeev Kumar and Arun Kanade), and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai, will get Rs 2 crore each.

The four reserve players — batter Rinku Singh and Shubman Gill, and fast bowlers Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed — will each be awarded Rs 1 crore.

The senior selection committee members, including chairman Ajit Agarkar, will also receive Rs 1 crore each.

The total Indian contingent for the World Cup included 42 people. The team’s video analyst, BCCI staff members, media officers, and the logistics manager will also be rewarded.

The team would receive an extra Rs. 11 crore in cash, according to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

India defeated South Africa by a narrow margin of 7 runs in the final held on June 29 in Barbados.

In previous victories, the prize money was significantly lower. For instance, in 2011, the players received Rs 2 crore each for winning the 50-over World Cup, and in 2007, the team received a total of Rs 12 crore for the T20 World Cup victory.
