Pat Cummins in the Royal Box of Wimbledon (X)
After the T20 World Cup, Pat Cummins is enjoying some quality time for himself in England. He was spotted in the VIP box at Wimbledon, watching Novak Djokovic, and Andy and Jamie Murray on day four of the tournament.
As India celebrates its much-awaited ICC Trophy win, the man who thwarted India's victory in the last two attempts, Pat Cummins, is busy with another sport: Wimbledon. Cummins was one of the many VIP guests at this year's Wimbledon.
Wimbledon has a tradition of welcoming special guests to the tournament. The much-coveted seats have been used for friends and guests of the tennis tournament since 1922, with 74 spots in total, and one was reserved for Pat Cummins today.
Men who come to the VIP box are required to wear a suit or a jacket and tie, and Cummins was seen in a suit enjoying the game.
India celebrates T20 World Cup victory
India finally gets to celebrate an ICC trophy after 11 years. The last win was in 2013. India lost to Malinga-led Sri Lanka in the 2014 T20 World Cup and Pakistan in the 2017 Champions Trophy.
India also lost two World Test Championship finals (one against NZ and one against AUS) and the 2023 ODI final, with Cummins leading Australia in the finals of the Test Championship and ODI World Cup. After all these heartbreaks, India have finally won the T20 World Cup this year.
