Mumbai went crazy on Thursday, July 5, during the open bus victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium.
The Men in Blue landed in Mumbai around 6 pm on Thursday, and the fans had gathered in lakhs at the Marine Drive to get a glimpse of their favourite stars.
The fans and the players enjoyed themselves, and it will go down as one of the most iconic moments in Indian cricket history. However, there was another side to the victory parade, unsoothing and unsettling.
Notably, several fans complained about the mismanagement by the Mumbai police as they had breathing issues, and a few even fainted because of the stampede-like situation.
In the latest events, another video has gone viral on the internet, as several lost slippers are left behind at the Marine drive in the aftermath of the victory parade.

Not just Marine Drive, but the Wankhede Stadium was also jam-packed where the players took a victory lap and also addressed the fans. Also, the BCCI presented the players and supporting staff with a 125 crore prize money.
In the latest events, Mumbai Municipal Corporation have cleaned up the area, but huge piles of slippers are still visible on Marine Drive.
