Social media can be a funny place where truth and lies can co-exist without anyone knowing. The easiest way to gain traction is to spread hate or controversial statements regarding personalities, which on most occasions are untrue.

Pakistan's star allrounder Iftikhar Ahmed has called out a fake quote circulating on social media, which is being attributed to him, and is regarding India.

On platform 'X' an image can be seen with a long, “Whenever we have match against India it feels like we are playing street children’s" quote from a fake Ahmed account, which has created unrest amongst fans.

Upon noticing, Ahmed, himself took to 'X' and rubbished such claims, and called it out as fake news, even asking 'X' owner Elon Musk to ban the concerned account for spewing such venom.

Ahmed enjoys a massive amount of following on social media and is recognised for "Ifti-Mania", which is courtesy of his big bitting abilities.
