Cricket fans will have a hard time finding a more impactful player than Imad Wasim when they look at the spinners who have been consistently performing in the Power play overs in T20s. The 34-year-old Pakistani player proved to the world on Thursday that he still has so much left to give.

Imad came to bowl the fourth over of the innings while representing defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs against St Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 opener. After conceding seven runs in the first over, the slow left-armer dealt the Kings a devastating blow with the first ball of the fourth over.

Imad bowled a slower-length ball outside the leg stump, which Faf du Plessis tried to loft straight down the ground, only to hit straight to Chris Green at long-on. Imad's gesture after the dismissal suggested that it was part of a deliberate strategy against the South African, who had to take a long walk after only scoring an eight-ball nine.

Imad continued to shine in the game, dismissing Sikandar Raza and Kimani Melius on successive deliveries, eventually finishing with excellent figures of 3/27. His heroic bowling played a pivotal role in the Tallawahs restricting the Kings to 176/8 after asking them to chase 188.

Here are the glimpses of Imad Wasim's all three wickets:

Imad had been brilliant in CPL 2022, having taken 17 wickets in 13 matches at an outstanding economy rate of 5.97. He was the joint highest wicket-taker in the competition, only behind Alzarri Joseph, which helped his side to eventually lift the elusive trophy.

Imad was in spectacular form in Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023 as well, scalping 10 wickets in seven matches at an economy rate of just 6.33.
