As revealed by Cricbuzz, Bangladesh suffered a massive blow ahead of their historic two-match Test series in Pakistan.

The current political crisis in Bangladesh, which led to one of the many curfews taking place across the country, interrupted the scheduled training session, leaving the players disappointed.

"We are not sure when we can hold the practice because there is a curfew for indefinite period. Our administration is looking after the matter and we can get a better understanding of the situation after they brief us about the present condition," a BCB official said, as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Major Setback For Bangladesh Ahead Of Pakistan Tests

Bangladesh are set to travel to Pakistan on August 17, four days before the two-match Test series begins. As the series is also part of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC), it would be a massive blow for Shakib Al Hasan and his boys before the high-voltage series.

Notably, the likes of Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque, who captained Bangladesh before, coupled with Shahadat Hossain, Zakir Hasan, Mahmudul Hasan, Nayeem Hasan and Hasan Mahmud, will play a warm-up match, which will be a four-day affair against Pakistan Shaheens before the series commencement.

The two Tests will take place in Rawalpindi and Karachi respectively.
