Whenever Indian cricketers are playing at home, one of their biggest concerns tends to be the heaps of requests from family and friends to provide the tickets. The ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 has been no different, with multiple Indian players seen joking about the matter in the past few weeks.

Players are literally having to use their social media handles to keep the ticket requests at bay and focus on the job at hands of representing the country at the sport's biggest competition. Modern-day legend Virat Kohli had to tell his fans and followers not to seek any tickets or passes to stadiums from him.

The situation is no different for the rest of the group as popular middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav made an amusing Instagram post on Friday (October 13), urging his family and friends not to disturb him with requests for tickets to watch the coming marquee league game between India and Pakistan.

These requests would've easily multifold in the preceding days of the high-voltage encounter against the neighbours. With the Ahmedabad fixture looking set for a capacity crowd of 1.2 lakhs, the only way out for cricket lovers to bag the remaining few passes is to reach out to the cricketers part of the contest.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Suryakumar Yadav made a story post, containing a clear message: do not disturb him for tickets. Bringing his humorous avatar into play, the extravagant middle-order batter reminded his fans, distant family members and friends to watch the game from the comfort of their AC rooms and drawing room sofas instead of troubling him with more ticket requests.

"Bhai log ghar pe acche acche TV hain sabke, enjoy karo aur AC main baith ke match dekho (Guys, you all have TVs available at your homes, enjoy the live telecast in the comfort of your AC rooms). No more ticket requests please."

Indian players would've felt a deja vu over the past weeks of the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2016 T20 World Cup - which were the previous ICC male events held on Indian shores - when the ticket requests for matches, especially the game against Pakistan in Kolkata, ran incredibly high.
