The third season of Major League Cricket commenced on June 13, with six teams locking horns against each other. Several stars who feature in the IPL are headlining America's premier T20 league.

Interestingly, players who did well in the Indian Premier League, which arguably, is the hardest T20 league in the world with all the viewership, pressure and grand stature of the league, are finding it difficult to perform in the MLC.

Thus, this article will shed light on three players who have flopped so far in MLC, but did wonders in the IPL.

1. Nicholas Pooran

The 29-year-old West Indies star, who recently announced his international retirement recently, is struggling in MLC. The southpaw was a star for LSG in the recently concluded IPL, where he scored 524 runs in 14 innings, averaging 43.67.

The opposition were scratching their heads trying to get Pooran out, but the LSG batter looked unstoppable and smashed five fifty-plus scores in the tournament.

However, coming to the MLC, Pooran, who is captaining MI New York, has played three matches so far and scored just 18 runs, averaging 6. He is yet to touch a double-digit score.

2. Heinrich Klaasen

The former South Africa star batter is a force to reckon with and needs no introduction on how destructive he can be. The 33-year-old was a beast in the IPL when he smashed 487 runs in the IPL for SRH, which includes his 2nd-ever IPL hundred.

Klaasen averaged 44.27 and batted at a strike rate of 172.70. Focusing on his MLC stats, the right-handed batter is leading Seattle Orcas, but it seems like the captaincy has taken a toll on his batting.

So far, in three matches, Klaasen has 44 runs in three innings, averaging only 22. He also has a golden duck that came in his side's second match against Texas Super Kings.

3. Andre Russell

KKR star Andre Russell didn't create a big impact like Pooran or Klaasen in IPL, but whenever, he got the opportunity, he made full use of it. In the recently concluded edition, the 37-year-old scored 167 runs in ten innings, averaging 18.56. He scored a solitary fifty-plus score.  Also, Russell shone with the ball and took 8 wickets in nine innings.

Although, in MLC, he has just 5 runs in three innings, which includes a duck. Nonetheless, the Caribbean star has two wickets to his name.
