Mujeeb Ur Rahman, the talented 23-year-old Afghan spinner, has been signed by Paarl Royals for the upcoming Season of the SA20 league.
This move marked the final overseas addition to their squad ahead of the SA20 2025 Auction. Mujeeb brings extensive experience, having played over 100 international matches and taken 161 wickets across all formats.
He's well-known in the T20 circuit, with 257 wickets in 241 T20 matches at an impressive economy rate of 6.76.
Paarl Royals strengthen their bowling attack
Mujeeb's addition to Paarl Royals bolsters their bowling attack and joins other international stars like Joe Root, Jacob Bethell, Sam Hain, and Dinesh Karthik.
The franchise also retained young England pacer John Turner, who impressed last season. His familiarity with the Royals' setup, particularly his stint with the Barbados Royals in the CPL where he took 10 wickets at an economy of 6.11 in the 2022 season, makes him a valuable asset for the SA20 campaign.

The third edition of the SA20 is set to take place from January 9 to February 8, 2025. The auction is scheduled likely to take place in September. Mujeeb Rahman like many others has decided to play in SA20 instead of the UAE's International League T20.
