Trent Boult Returns as New Zealand Name Strong Squad For England ODIs

In a significant development, New Zealand have recalled Trent Boult to their ODI squad for the upcoming four-match series against England. However, regular skipper Kane Williamson is yet to attain match-fitness; so, veteran keeper-batter Tom Latham will lead the team in the series.

Notably, Boult didn't extend his national contract last year in order to explore opportunities in T20 leagues around the world. However, with the ODI World Cup being around the corner, the BlackCaps have decided to recall their most lethal bowling weapon in white-ball cricket.

The squad also sees the return of Kyle Jamieson, who missed plenty of action due to an injury. The batting department has familiar faces, with Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Will Young, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls and Glenn Phillips included in the team.

However, New Zealand's bowling unit looks more formidable, studded with the likes of Matt Henry, Tim Southee, Adam Milne and Lockie Ferguson alongside Boult and Jamieson. Promising cricketer Rachin Ravindra has also found a place and will play the spin all-rounder's role.
