Even as the world anticipated his arrival in Ahmedabad for the ICC World Cup 2023 final held on Gujarati shores on Sunday (November 19), legendary MS Dhoni decided to spend time with his family and wife Sakshi as she celebrated her birthday.

Despite reports of invitations being sent to all the World Cup-winning skippers to attend the India-Australia summit clash at the Motera Stadium, the 2011 champion prioritised his life partner and stayed with her for the celebrations of her 35th birthday.

The great wicketkeeper-batter is known for keeping his private life close and a priority over the years, and once again he showcased great love for his family and wife by spending time with them during a special occasion for Sakshi.

The famous couple is currently on vacation up north in India where they cut Sakshi's birthday cake on the day of India versus Australia final before travelling around the valleys on Monday (November 20) when the two got clicked by fans.

Dhoni Spends Time With Wife Sakshi

Dhoni's presence at the Motera Stadium could've been a source of inspiration for the Team India players, however, especially when they were striving to overcome a precarious situation with the bat during the first half.

One of the finest limited-overs batters ever to have played the game, Dhoni was a master of tough times and helped India bounce back on multiple occasions from a spot of bother. Unfortunately, Rohit Sharma's men couldn't replicate the big-match ability showcased by Dhoni and his aspiring men in the 2011 final against Sri Lanka in Mumbai.

But the great man would've been one of the first to send a consoling message to the hurting contemporary cricketers, who will have to deal with the worst of setbacks and chin up amidst the doom and gloom that has set about the nation ever since their painstaking six-wicket defeat.
