Mohammed Siraj's rise in world cricket in last few years has been a spectacle to behold! The man has grown by leaps and bounds in both white-ball and red-ball cricket and is a big asset for India across formats. The World Cup 2023 is currently in its business end, and Indian players have dominated proceedings. Now, ahead of India's final league game, Mohammed Siraj has been crowned the number one ODI bowler in the ICC rankings, a testimony to his consistent performances in the 50-over format.

Along with Siraj, Shubman Gill is also shining bright and is now the number 1 ODI batter in ICC rankings. In the World Cup 2023, Mohammed Siraj was slow to get off the blocks but got into his rhythm against Sri Lanka and bowled beautifully against South Africa too. The man grabbed plenty of eyeballs when he picked a six-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final to dismantle Lankans for 50.

Top 5 Bowlers In ICC ODI Rankings

Talking about the latest ICC ODI rankings, Keshav Maharaj who has bowled beautifully for South Africa in World Cup 2023, is ranked number 2 while fellow spinners - Adam Zampa and Kuldeep Yadav follow him. The fifth in the list is another pacer Shaheen Afridi who has been demoted from the number 1 spot after his lacklustre performance in the Asia Cup and first half of World Cup 2023.

Siraj would now be hoping to back up his number 1 ranking with some impactful performances and take India to the ultimate glory after 12 long years.
