Maxwell's talent has never been in doubt and on his day, he has the potential to win games for his side single-handedly. He has played plenty of match-winning knocks over the years but his knock of 201* off just 128 balls at Wankhede against Afghanistan will surely go down as one of the greatest knock in the history of the game.

Australia in their chase of 292 were reduced to 91-7 and looked down and out with Afghanistan all over them. Cummins joined Maxwell and with Afghanistan high on confidence, it looked like they will finish off the game quickly and register a huge win.

Glenn Maxwell though had other plans, he mixed caution with aggression beautifully and kept hitting it towards the ropes whenever he got an opportunity. He slowly and steadily reached his fifty and without anyone noticing, got to his century as well in just 76 balls.

In the process, he hurt his left leg as well and soon started finding it difficult to even take a single. However, such is the talent of the man that with even with one leg, he kept smashing Afghan bowlers all over the park and Cummins at the other end, kept defending it calmly.

Maxwell unleashed all his might playing reverse-lap, slogs, flicks and everything that one can imagine, that too with arguably almost half of his body non-functional. Maxwell fell on the ground two times in pain while trying to hit a shot and complete a run but the man battled all that pain and eventually got to his 150 with a helicopter shot in the 42nd over.

The man did not stop there, he continued his one-man show and launched some unbelievable hits into the stands, taking the cricketing world by storm. Such was Maxwell's miracle that, Australia clinched the game in the 47th over itself, as Maxwell hammered 22 runs off Mujeeb in that over and signed off with another helicopter shot over deep mid-wicket, asserting his dominance and claiming a legendary status with his god-level knock. He slammed 201* off just 128 balls with 10 maximums and 21 fours and it was truly a knock to remember - the best ODI knock ever!
