The remainder of IPL 2025 resumes on May 17 with RCB taking on KKR at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The 18th edition of the cash-studded league took a week-long hiatus because of the tensions between India and Pakistan.  The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on May 8 was the last game as players were escorted from the ground owing to security issues. 

The incident left a mark on players' psychology and most of the overseas stars returned to their home country. Meanwhile, in the latest events, most of the foreign stars are returning to duty, but a few have confirmed that they won't be returning for the remainder of the season.

Mitchell Starc To Make A Call On His Availability

Notably, the likes of Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, and Jake Fraser-McGurk won't return for rest of IPL 2025. DC have already been handed a blow and now awaits the confirmation of Australia seamer Mitchell Starc. 

Starc, who is DC's best-performing seamer in the ongoing season, hasn't confirmed his availability and there were reports that he might not return because of the upcoming WTC Final against South Africa that starts on June 11. 

However, in the latest events, reports from Nine Sports mention that Starc is mulling over returning to India and a decision on the same would be taken on Friday, May 16. Notably, DC will play against Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 18. Talking about Starc's performance in the ongoing season, he has taken 14 wickets in 10 innings.
