India-born Australian cricketer Hasrat Gill is set to represent the Melbourne Stars franchise in the upcoming WBBL 2024 season. She will be joining the likes of Indian players Deepti Sharma and Yastika Bhatia in the Stars line-up.

The 18-year-old cricketer also recently received her maiden contract with Victoria for the WNCL 2024-25 season. Earlier this year, she toured Sri Lanka as part of the Australian Under-19 women’s team for a T20 and 50-overs tri-series involving hosts as well as age-old rivals England.

Hasrat Gill picked up six wickets in the three T20 matches, and scored a swift 40* in one of the games against England. The youngster also claimed three wickets in the two 50-overs matches and made 52 runs with the bat.

Apart from Hasrat Gill, the Melbourne Stars also signed up Liv Henry for the WBBL 2024 season. Senior players like Marizanne Kapp, Annabel Sutherland and legendary Australian captain Meg Lanning are some of the star attractions set to feature in the Melbourne Stars group.
