The Rajasthan Royals demolished the Gujarat Titans in the IPL match on Monday and the star of the show for them was the 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi who smacked a 35-ball century and broke several records as the Royals thrashed GT to temporarily spoil their party in the league.

However, while the entire team was enjoying after the massive win, there could be a bad news for the franchise and it is related to the captain of the Royals - Sanju Samson. The skipper of the side has not played since suffering an injury to his rib, and he was replaced by Suryavanshi in the team, who certainly cemented his place in the team.

No Samson for MI clash?

As per Sports Tak, Samson continues to recover from his injury and could potentially miss the next IPL match against the Mumbai Indians on May 1 in Jaipur. The decision comes as a massive blow for the team who rely heavily on Samson's brilliant captaincy. Reportedly, the injury is a bit more serious and the team management won't take the risk of playing Samson in the clash Vs MI.

GT thrashed by RR without Samson

The Gujarat Titans team were brought back down by a resurgent Rajasthan team led by the assault from Suryavanshi. Chasing 210, RR needed a solid start from their openers and the 14-year-old teenager went berserk.

He slammed a 35-ball century and broke several records in the process. He also became the youngest centurion in IPL history as the GT bowlers had no answer to his onslaught. Alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryavanshi steered RR past the winning line inside 16 overs and it dented GT's net run-rate ahead of crucial IPL matches scheduled.
