Sanju Samson, the designated skipper of Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2025 injured himself while batting against DC in Delhi. He had to leave the field midway during batting due to the rib injury and has since then missed two games against LSG and RCB.
Riyan Parag Reveals Injury Details Of Sanju Samson
Riyan Parag is leading RR in his absence, and Samson's absence is hurting his team both at the batting and leadership level. There is no clarity on the intensity of the injury to Sanju, but during the toss of the game between RR and RCB, Riyan Parag did shed some light on his captain's injury.
Riyan Parag stated that Sanju Samson is still recovering, and they are monitoring his injury game by game. Also, Riyan Parag mentioned that Samson has a tear on his side and hoped that he would be back soon. Thus, the chances of Samson getting ruled out of the entire season are pretty low.
"Sanju is recovering. We are going to take it game by game. He has got a tear on his side. Hopefully, he'll be back soon."
Sanju Samson's Performance In IPL 2025
Sanju Samson has scored 224 runs in just seven innings and has one fifty. He looked good for his 31 in the game he got injured, and RR fans would be hoping that he comes back to lead the side soon.
Rajasthan Royals are currently languishing at the bottom half of the points table, and need to win almost all games to stand a chance of making it to the playoffs. Their batting has choked in the last two games where they failed to get 9 runs in the final over, and would be hoping that they rectify their mistake against RCB.
