The year 2022 marked a significant change in the landscape of the Indian Premier League (IPL) when two new franchises were introduced - Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

While the Titans went onto clinch the 2022 season of the IPL, and reached the finals last season, the Super Giants made it to the knockouts in 2022, and were eliminated in the Eliminator last season.

Owned by the Sanjiv Goenka led RPSG Group for INR 7,090 crore, the LSG franchise is being led by the Indian superstar, KL Rahul, who boasts astonishing IPL stats. The team has a great mixture of youth and experience, and that was evident in their inaugural season, when they managed to impress everyone with their style of play.

As we etch closer to the 2025 IPL season, a lot is expected from the LSG team, who will try and claim their maiden IPL title in a 10-team battle. Ahead of the tournament, let us look at the LSG squad for IPL 2025.

When KL Rahul got injured mid-way in the 2023 season, his deputy, Krunal Pandya was given the captaincy mantle. The all-rounder led LSG in 6 matches, and had a positive win ratio, winning 3 matches and losing two games. He eventually helped LSG reach the eliminator, wherein they lost against the Mumbai Indians.

Former Australian cricketer and coach, Justin Langer was appointed as the head coach for the 2025 IPL season.
